I love that this app makes it easy to see the volcanoes; it also shows which have been active. You can overlay earthquakes on it to see if they are overlapping, and be alerts of various levels of activity. Some sites have webcams for observation. Great app!!!

I have a whole new understanding of our Earth. Largely due to this app, I can “feel” some of the rhythms!!

I am fascinated by volcanoes and earthquakes and general plate tectonics. I am an accountant and have no actual geology training other than watching documentaries and such. This is the only app I have found that tells me everything I am curious about. It seems geared toward aviators perhaps, but I love the official designations and the ability to learn background on each volcano. I especially love that it show recent earthquakes around volcanos plus the fault lines. I discovered this app during all of those earthquakes and eruptions in Iceland in 2024, when I was desperate for news on how that little harbor town was faring. Now I have my eye on what’s happening in the Greek Isles in 2025! GREAT APP!

useful. i have family living in the shadow of volcanoes -this keeps me updated and provides notices. excellent and I havent even had to upgrade. considering it tho.

I love this app!

It doesn’t even say Erebus is erupting, yet it is. Links in the app direct you nowhere. Why have webcam links that make me have to restart my phone? I thought paying for ALL the extra features might help the situation (they ask you to pay for SOME of the extra features for 4.99 then make you pay an additional $8.99 for more of the extra features. Again, unclear what features this unlocks, as now the app won’t even work when I click on anything.

Handy app

I tried to set this up for no alerts, but I constantly get alerts all day long. I’ve gone into settings and selected no alerts, but nothing changes. It seems the only way to get rid of the alerts is to give up the money I’ve spent and delete the app. Seems ridiculous and a waste of money.

Informative and important for those who wish to understand what goes on and where it goes neat and far, HOWEVER, the app should let you see what you want to see. I don’t want to see earthquakes or ash or etc - just volcanoes Please fix and you can have your five stars back ⭐️⭐️ I completely agree and the info is over and over — boring

The bit that I have used it, I enjoy the timely information it provides.

I certainly don't need to know about what, where and when the earth is spewing ash and magma. However, I'm really fascinated with just how active and moving the earth under our feet is. It's great to get the info on each volcano active and otherwise as well as recent quakes. Thanks. I live lava. Is that so bad?

Nice when you pay for the extras & really enjoy what you paid for. If you are interested in the Volcanology & Plate Tectonics of our planet this app is totally worthwhile. The few glitches & problems are NoBigDeal & the developers will most likely fix them. Mahalo Nui Loa for your effort ***** 5 stars

There is an active volcano in Iceland and they are not showing up on the map.

Great information APP graphics that I hope grows or updates to include the i click for did you know info and depth charges info per finger spot anywhere on the map!

In the few years I have had this application, I’ve found it quite useful in aiding my research and fueling my passion for volcanology and seismology. While it is certainly not an in-depth application for those looking for every piece of news or detailed reports on volcanoes or earthquakes, it is quite handy for basic overviews on important geologic events around the globe, and it keeps the user updated on when and where said event is occurring. I find that occasionally certain events that may have just occurred will not receive updates until days later, and it may leave the user without an alert about the given event until then. While this is not ideal, I understand that this application is intended for basic overviews, and I don’t hold that fact against it. Overall I am quite pleased with the years of service this application has brought me, and I look forward to many more!

I use this app monthly and have been very impressed. I highly recommend this app for anyone who travels.

If you want to track volcanoes this app is for you

Some people say earthquakes and volcanic eruptions are becoming stronger and more frequent. I got the app to try to track them. Failed at that but I can pray for the people who might be effected.

Who knew that volcanos were puffing and se sing clouds of gas and ash out virtually all the time!? The notifications come all the time! One improvement: allow people to follow a particular volcano and get notifications about it.

Would like an option to change alerts on the app
