Volcanoes: Map, Alerts & Ash App Reviews

The Map is great, but if you want actual Reports, such as Ash Reports, they are not free. The weekly updates are free. But for up to date Reports, you have to pay. Ill look for a USGS app to get free reports.

This is a really nice little program if youre interested in volcanology. I paid extra to get rid of the ads and to see the ash track. Was worth the $2.99.

I am a librarian for an elementary school. Kids love disasters and then listen to the geography/earth science lesson I love to do in the Library. Get there attention with a big ban and then teach the lesson around it.

Lots of fun. I wish I had found this when my kids were studying plate tectonics. Its great to get the info on each volcano active and otherwise as well as recent quakes. Thanks.

Distance from volcano to my location says zero even with the location turned on. Should have location of volcano next to names on the active volcano list. Would be nice to have videos with sound for the active ones at least.

Its very fascinating to look at the ash that occurs after a volcanic irruption. This app does a great job at showing the ash and alerts you about the recent ones in Chile and much more. Great app overall and only for 3$

Quite new to me. I have the other earthquake Apps but seeing the Volcanic Activity etc. is Important for us to know. Keeps us Alert!

Im not sure why but the Smithsonian activity updates havent updated for several weeks now. Im stuck with the April 22-28 reports! Whats happening?

Noe I can see where all the active volcanoes are.

The Smithsonian reports are not being updated. Why? Otherwise have learned to travel around for most of the info wanted. Thanks for the app!

Its a great app but you forgot to list The crater of Diamonds volcano in Arkansas and Tom saulk in missouri.

We have too little knowledge to understand volcanic activity in the world,now we know total map of volcano and various essential data by this app. Thanks to all who are dedicating their valuable time to develop this app.

This app is extremely informative. The maps are very helpful. The widget is fantastic!

Simple, easy to use, accurate.

The navigation is kind of clunky and the information given with each particular site is rather limited on the free version. Overall I like it and look at it once or twice a week but I certainly couldnt use it if I was a professional.

I like this app. Im a beginner and its perfect for me.
